I don’t really care what it’s called, I enjoy eating sandwiches that utilize those types of buns rather than two slices of white or wheat bread.
What about marble rye or potato bread

Mayo is disgusting. Easily the worst condiment.

What is the purpose of putting mayo underneath the burger? That would seem to make that bottom piece even more likely to be soggy.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Rye is great. Fair point. I prefer Jewish rye, but marble rye also good. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had potato bread.

The mayo + veggies flavor complements the flavor of all the other burger juices dropping to the bottom bun.

I highly advise trying some. It's a semi sweet bread. Sort of like King's Hawaiian but heavier and denser.

Those things all make me want to vomit just from the smell. Will never eat anything like that in my life.

I think I have discussed this before, but I use what I refer to as the bottom cheese maneuver. I cook the burgers, then melt the cheese. When it is melted enough I place the patty cheese side down on the bottom bun so that leaves the top portion of bun and meat patty free to use for condiments/toppings. We had burgers last night and on the top bun portion I put some mustard and mayo then on burger itself a small amount of ketchup and onions/pickles/lettuce/tomato (not in that order).

I said "both, unless it's PB&J" and that is correct because I only put one condiment on one piece of bread with a PB&J. If it's mayo or mustard or anything else I put that on both pieces of bread. PB&J must be made with PB on one side, jelly on the other, then combined. That's the only correct way to do it.
So, you put the PB and J on the same slice? If not, your statement is a contradiction.
