Texas wasn't the problem. The problem was Alabama (who Texas beat by 10 at Bryant-Denny) forcing their way in with a weak record. All those SEC cheerleaders at ESPN would have to expose their ignorance if no SEC teams made the playoffs; Finebaum for starters. But if it was mine to vote, I would have excluded Michigan for cheating. Then I'd rank Washington, Florida St., Texas and Alabama. Problem solved. Lose late (Oklahoma, Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State) and you lose your place in line. That's the way it's almost always been.
