The thing about this signing is that it almost fixes the secondary...or at least gives us the flexibility to draft the BPA when the time comes. We have a few players. They are just a step behind where they need to be. Now they all slide down 1 spot. Yiadom isn't the answer right now at #2 CB. But as the #3? I could deal with that. Same with the Safety position if we use him there
We can afford 3 to 4 strong pieces and pay for our draft picks. James and Amos or a MLB can solve a lot of problems.

Kareem Jackson the type of tackler Vic Fangio loves from his defensive backs. He may play safety for the Broncos. Also plays nickel and outside zone corner (Fangio plays a lot of zone coverage) #9sports
Thanks to MasterShake for my great signature
Rest in Peace - Demaryius (88) - Darrent (27) - Damien (29) - Kenny (11)#7 - JOHN - #44 - FLOYD - #80 - ROD

And #Broncos still trying to get another player as well. Maybe a WR like Tate, but tackle ja'wuan James would be even better. They almost acquired him last year

Jackson is terrific as run support, particularly for his slender size. He's better than he used to be but he's still a hanky magnet on pass defense, especially on big downs. That's why I think Romeo Crennel tried to convert him into a safety where he would be in coverage less often.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
Another good signing, We finally got another CB that likes to tackle and break-up passes. Another contract that scares me, but fits in with current market. I also think his versatility is a huge asset, when Harris went down for example we had to play Justin Simmons in the slot for Christ's sakes, Now we have another CB we can move around who is a good player and who can play in just about any scheme, which is a big part on Fangio's defense.
This with James was a good night for JFE, and he needed to do something and he has at 2 of our biggest positions of need. I really don't think safety was ever a big need for us in FA.....I think we cut Stewart because they want Simmons and Parks to be full time, and I also think they believe a lot was scheme and coaching related last year.
I expect another CB in rds. 1-4 of the draft....they were poking around a lot of the 2nd rd. corners in this draft and feel its a pretty deep class.
