If you believe Allbright knows what he’s talking about, he says the Jets will take Mayfield at three. Has us taking Nelson unless we trade back
if they take him number one overall, with QBs like rosen and darnold on the board? i think so, yes. . . packin' lunch is a dud, for sure-- but he was the third QB taken off the board, in the mid-twenties, and everyone knew he was a super raw long term project. . . i think allen at number one is the most browns thing ever, so they will probably do it, too. . .
Mike White for QB.
Make Denver great again!
Kinger says 'hogwash'. LoL
Oh I believe them that he might be the most likely to slide. But if he should, that's another question.
Sure will. I'm not in denial about the situation - a lot of people don't like him as a person, and a certain subsection of people who often run teams won't like Rosen in particular. Furthermore, because injury issues are a legitimate concern, and because there are numerous QB's in this draft with merit, he could slide past us. We also aren't going to take a quarterback because Elway trusts Kubiak, and Kubiak now, though he was not then (in Houston) in love with Keenum.
This is the situation. Whomever we draft, I will support. If the Nelson Nerds are happy at the end of the first round, so be it. I'll support him. If it's Mayfield, I'll support him. I don't want it to be a cornerback, but if we take one, so be it. What I believe will happen is separate from my fandom. I cheered every single time my nemesis, TS, did something well.
Based on the evidence, I'd say yes. It's a fact that he's had durability issues and a shit personality. Maybe the two most important traits of a young QB is the ability to stay on the field and command the respect of your team, so he already has red flags. There is no questioning his talent, but intangibles are just as important with a QB and his are factually questionable.
The others have their red flags as well, but Rosen's are near the top of the list. Personally, I wouldn't have him behind Allen, but the fact that a few organizations would probably goes to show that teams can and would rather coach up a player's football skills as opposed to focusing on his health and personality traits.
The shit personality thing isn't very accurate. His teammates like him, and his coach got killed for shitting on him. There's no question on his work ethic, or his mental or physical talent. He put a hot tub in his room and he wore a **** (political figure) cap while golfing. If the subsections that draft and run teams don't run a certain way, people would be concerned, but much less so. FFS, he got blown up on ESPN for saying he wanted to win more rings than Brady, but people also cheered and loved it when Watson said that before he was drafted.
