that Tom Brady is or ever was in Peyton Manning's league? Without Brady the Pats went 11-5. Without Manning the Colts are the most inept team in the league.

Yes I know Brady has Manning 3-1 in Super Bowls, but using that logic, you would have to say that Terry Bradshaw was twice the QB Elway was. Brady has had the huge benefit of the best head coach in the league and a good defense supporting him. Peyton Manning IS the Colts.

They are both great. But if I were to pick which QB I wanted, it would be Manning every time. The dude is a great competitior.
Thanks MO for the wicked Sig.

I think Orton would do just as good as Brady in that system and that type of protection.

He's a fun QB to watch but his whining turned me off a long time ago. Not sure I'd say Brady is better than Manning.

IMO, skill wise and knowledge of the game wise, Peyton Manning is top three in NFL history at the QB position. I'd put Brady top 10, but Peyton Manning IMO is one of the best QBs ever.

But with Brady the Pats go 14-2 or even 16-0. Brady is better then Manning and the Patriots are better then the Colts. And for the record, Kerry Collins would probably suck with the Pats as well. Put Cassell on the Colts and they might also go 10-6 or 11-5.

For me it goes beyond that. Brady is just a complete Qb, he can do it all.

I wouldn't doubt if Colts fans are on their knees thanking Manning for his years there but for the future......fans are ruthless!

So you're saying Brady only gets them 3-5 wins per year?

I agree that the Patriots are a better team, which is why I don't agree that Brady is better than Manning. Brady has been on teams with superior talent and coaching every time they've won a SB, and a few times they didn't. Manning had been on some good teams, but I would never say they were superior, definitely not both O and D at the same time.

If all things were equal Peyton wins more games than Brady.

No, you're a realist with a sense of humor.

I disagree. Put Brady on Indy he still does just as good as Manning. Coaching? Dungy was no slouch. People can argue all day long who they think is better (we've seen it with the Elway/Montana debates) but the margin isnt massive like BTB tries to imply here. Cassell was familiar with the NE system when filling in. Collins has had 3 weeks to try and learn Indy's. Its night and day there.

Given the coaching and talent that team has had with Brady, I would not say that's too far off. I think you could stick any average QB in with the Pats over the past 10 years and they are still playoff contenders most years.

I just don't think it's close how much better Manning is than Brady. If you switch those two guys and keep everything else equal, Manning would have 3 or 4 Super Bowls at least and Brady would have none.

Cassell is pretty damned familiar with the KC offense as well... But they didn't go deep in the playoffs with him. So why did he play so much better in NE?

The rest of the team, coaching, etc...

I have to agree with those here who feel Brady is just part of the machine. If Orton played in NE I think he might have a ring.
