Interesting take. He wanted 50k to make an appearance at Elway's wife's request? Wow.
Thoughts?

Ah, yes. The old "anonymous sources" smear. The author used to work in Ft. Lauderdale when he worked as a real journalist so he probably had his fill of Gator fans who still love Tebow. Now he writes for crap websites like Fansided and Bleacher Report. Wonder why?
BTW, the $50K demand was supposedly through his brother, not Tim himself. Bro might not have caught the significance of the surname.
No doubt Tebow haters will lap up every word as gospel.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
This has a chance to either HOF thread or go straight to blackhole. Hopefully both.

I found the article, and from it:
https://nypost.com/2020/09/11/new-bo...-with-broncos/The former Heisman Trophy winner reportedly angered Broncos management during the 2011 season by making a “cottage industry” of speaking gigs, which the ultra-Christian quarterback charged $50,000 at various churches. As Tebow sparked an improbable run to the second round of the playoffs that year, Elway’s wife, Janet, allegedly asked the quarterback to make an appearance at a charity event. Tebow’s brother reportedly told her it would cost $50,000, and Janet declined, saying her husband didn’t pay for such appearances.
Quite interesting that Janet was asked this in "2011", and quite interesting that she said "HER HUSBAND". From article I found - "The couple separated in 2002 — three years after Elway retired — and divorced a year later."

This is nothing new, it was common knowledge in Denver that he won’t cross the street w/o full press coverage.
The dude took his shirt and paraded in front of press row during a rain storm in NY, where he turned down J-vile to go so he could “build his brand”.
Same shit, different day for Tebow.

I like his Broncos helmet though, Broncos should pay sizzle-chest to design their new uniforms.

Realize this article doesn't exactly fit or apply to this thread, but this headline freaks me out and scares the crap out of me "What will Patriots offense look like with Cam Newton? Look to Tim Tebow in Denver"!
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...bow-in-denver/
I know that among Broncos fans there is really no gray area concerning Tim Tebow. You either love him or hate him, but I sure hope the Patriots offense under Cam is not so limited and one-dimensional as the Broncos offense was under Tim Tebow!
Too bad she doesn't cheer for the Patriots dressed like this

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
