thought he'd get more than that, even with the market what it is for RBs. . . we know mini-shanny understands how to use him-- he could be a big producer for them. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Hopefully they Green Bay it and are constantly good enough to draft late, but bad enough to win for real

Where did they get the extra draft pick? The pick they got for Ford was for next year's draft I thought?

49ers signed Jason Verrett for one year, 3.6 million. That’s a low cost gamble we should have been in on

So Pierre Garcon seems to be the only WR unsigned out of the guys Klis identified as potential Broncos targets before the combine. John Brown, Golden Tate, Tyrell Williams, Donte Moncrief and Jamison Crowder all got snatched up.

Would be nice to add another veteran WR with Sanders coming off an achilles and last year's rookies still unproven.

And if not - puts even more emphasis on getting a pass catching threat at TE.

I actually like our group. I think the 2 rooks from last year are gonna show out. Add a mid round return capable WR and I'd be content

Thoughts on Kalil? Got a big contract from Carolina. Played solid in 2017 and missed all of 2018. He is now a street FA and maybe be candidate for a show me deal. Can he be a guard? He was great in Minnesota

That’s his brother Matt the Tackle. The Carolina Kalil is Ryan and was their starting center for years.

Both Kalil brothers were in Carolina the last couple of years. Ryan the center just retired - Matt the tackle was released

As to your question, I wouldn’t mind bringing him in on the cheap (same for everyone else at this point). He’s been good before, could be decent as a swing guy at the least
