It's still early, but I have to say I like Paton's approach so far. He's not overvaluing his own players and overspending to keep them, but he did make sure not to let our face of the franchise Von get away. And he's being patient in free agency not blowing his wad on every big name guys, but making reasonable signings to shore up weaknesses. And if he zeros in on Fuller that's a great piece to add if we're gonna make one splash. If the draft goes well it's gonna be hard not to give him an A for this offseason. A+ if he lands Watson.

I know there has been some disappointment over letting Phil and K-Jax go, but you can't keep everyone, and I don't think either was an absolute must-keep.

I’m sorry, but the last 48 hours has really pissed me off. We already have one of the worst QBs in the league and now they decided one of our best offensive weapons is completely expendable, and they certainly didn’t do shit to even remotely try to utilize him during the season anyway. This team is rudderless, from ownership on down.
Mo, Lindsay is wide zone player and doesn't fit the power/inside zone stuff they are currently running. Gordon and Boone do. Plus Boone is good ST gunner, something that Lindsay doesn't do. I understand everyone loves the local kids but it is business and the business say it better to let him walk. Lindsay should like at opportunities in SF/Cleveland/Tenn/ATL/NYJ all of who run a system that works for him.

Another mark in the positive column for Paton! He's keeping the guys who matter.

Just read this and all I can say is

Plus Paton has done this: Brandon McManus

In addition to Brandon McManus, the Denver Broncos will also be converting Mike Purcells roster bonus into a signing bonus to create cap space, per

IMO these are moves that allow you use what you on hand and get the most out of them. I am impressed. Most of all I'm getting excited.

Yep, and barring a trade for Watson, which I just realistically don't see happening, we have to hope that Drew makes that next step. I personally think he can, but clearly it's up to him.

The Simmons deal also opens up cap space this year if it's structured correctly...which I have to believe that did it that way.

Ok, this is giving me good Paton vibes. That just seems like real GM work. He's putting in work.

Gotta make room for Kyle Fuller! I expect him to be a Bronco by the end of the day.

Odds are in our favor. At that point...even if someone like Will Parks is kept to play the other safety spot...we easily have the best secondary in the NFL.

Cleared some more space with changing McManus and Purcell contracts/

up to $40M in cap space. Feels like something big is coming.
