I’ll be mighty disappointed and bummed out if Cousins ends up being our quarterback this coming season, let alone giving up our 9th overall pick for him. I would get Pickett with our pick at 9th. Pickett plays with a huge heart and has the drive only a few good ones have. He can make plays in more than one way. Bring the right head coach and let’s solidify the foundation of this young, talented and promising team. Not being able to develop our QBOTF is the reason why we are where we are, more accurately, where we’ve been since Elway retired. It may take a year or two to develop our guy, but he’ll be our future for a few years going forward, as opposed to be good for the next 3 years and roll the dice that move is going to yield us a championship, only to be right back to where we are after our priced FA Quarterback retires...

Devil's advocate...Pickett goes at 5. Corral goes at 6. Do you feel the same way? Perhaps Cousins gets a 3 year deal from us and we nab a 2nd round prospect?

Yeah, there's at least 2, and as many as 4, teams who may go QB ahead of us. And some people think we have a shot at Pickett?

I haven’t looked at the current top ten 2022 draft order, to see who’s picking ahead of us, but this draft is loaded with defensive blue chippers. Either way we can’t go wrong. Of course I want us to go quarterback, and whether Pickett and/or Corral go ahead of us, it is yet to be argued. Most NFL draft gurus had both quarterbacks outside the top ten, with the Steelers grabbing Pickett at 12-13th or thereabouts before the Steelers rolled into the wildcard week of the playoffs. Obviously some things have changed, so it’s anybody’s guess at this point, however, I like our chances of getting Pickett or perhaps even Corral...

    The question remains unanswered.

Cousins and a 2nd round rookie is kicking the can down the street, start the rookie or don’t draft one.

People that want Cousins don’t want to solve this issue and are perfectly content with the same shit we’ve had for 6 straight years.t

Even if it's Ridder and you give him time to develop?

Cousins is not the same shit you've had. There is no sane comparison to TS, CK, etc. Zero.

If we don't get Russ or Rodgers (which I don't think we do) then I want us to draft a QB and keep Drew and let the new staff develop those 2 and whoever is better wins.
    Drew/Pickett
    Drew/Strong
    Drew/Corral
    Drew/Howell

    Zero, got it.

Seriously King, Cousins solves nothing, other than a return to fantasy football relevance.

    I’m not entertaining your man-crush.

As for Ridder? I love Ridder, reminds me of Lock from what I’ve read.

The thought of trading a premium pick for Cousins is horrifying.
