Default Old TV shows that spark a memory

Pure nostalgia. For some reason, these shows made an impression--probably just the catchy intro for most of them. Let me know if you got one.

I remember thinking the show was pretty dumb, and I was a kid then, so I can't imagine watching it now. But the intro had promises of magic.

Only three seasons, right? And I was watching reruns fifteen years later... It's like the Firefly of the 60's. Something like that.

I guess what I'm getting at is the theme songs. Because I don't know if I ever actually watched an episode of this, but the song was dope to my young ears.

Maybe I should have stopped at 4 Dales and gone to bed.

Maybe this is why 40-ish white Americans are racist. Because omg this gave me such a microchub when I was 5 or 6 or so.

Objectively speaking, Cheers, Bosom Buddies, and M*A*S*H have better theme songs. But you keep hearing them, so the nostalgia ain't there.

Sometimes I'd get stuck at home and someone was watching a show like Young and Restless...actually had a terrific theme, realized that tonight.

I watched it for the theme song, but then lost interest once the episodes started.

I loved this show. I used to dance around the coffee table in the living room when I was 5 when it came on. 69 charger, and a girl that wore shorts so tight and short they are literally now referred to as Daisy Dukes.

I had to go look that one up just last week. Loved that theme song, "Believe it or Not".

    What about this one:

My brother and I would ride our bikes around the neighborhood pretending to be officers Baker and Poncherello. We'd practice riding in tandem and doing turns around the corners in unison just like the show.

When we weren't doing that, we were Bo and Luke Duke.

I was watching the 1st season on Amazon Prime & I notice the exact same "Woody" stationwagon kept showing up in different episodes. One episode it belong to a large family that lost track of their infant. It belong to a bad guy in a different episode & got stolen in yet another episode

Loved watching TV Land and Nick at Nite as a kid.

    My faves:

    -Three's Company
    -All in the Family
    -Cosby Show
    -Gilligan's Island
    -Facts of Life
    -Dukes of Hazzard
    -Different Strokes
    -Laverne and Shirley
    -Murphy Brown
    -The Wonder Years
    -The Brady Bunch
    -Happy Days
    -The Jeffersons

I saw an episode of Gilligan's Island a few weeks ago and it was so bad. Makes me afraid to rewatch any of the others just in case it turns out they sucked. Nostalgia! I loved the Dukes of Hazzard so much. Who didn't want to be in a real life version of that show.

My all time favorite, and one that holds up well is I Love Lucy. I would show old episodes of I Love Lucy in class when we had downtime. At first the kids were like wtf black and white this is the worst I don't wanna watch it. But then it starts and they laugh and like it and want to watch more. If I achieved nothing else, I can at least say that I got teenagers to appreciate and enjoy an old black and white TV show that is almost 70 years old. Good humor is timeless.
