The Big 12 is going to miss them desperately.
It was only a matter of time before Stephen Garcia lost a game for the Gamecocks. How he is still their starting QB is beyond me.
I would be curious. I watch the Gamecocks every week, I know the Garcia story, I know he's a hard worker, a tough kid and resilient with the pressure. I know his off the field controversies, but good grief he is not a good QB. How many chances can an average player get in an upper tier programs like South Carolina is right now.
With the defense and the weapons they have, he is IMHO the difference between South Carolina being a mere ranked team and a top 5-7 team in the country.
BRAHcia has regressed so much this year. He's regressed to playing like he did his sophmore season where when he's under pressure he forces throws or just throws things up and hoping someone makes a play instead of throwing it away or tucking it and trying to run for a yard or two instead.
He's not a bad passer when he has time in the pocket and he's able to set his feet and he's damn accurate when he's on the run. It's just ridiculous for a fifth year senior QB who has started over 30 games to make the decisions he has this year.
That said, Spurrier has'nt helped that situation much with his play calling. We're really fortunate to be 4-1.
And damn i'm tired of losing Auburn.....
Looks like Spurrier's going with Sophmore QB Connar Shaw Saturday against Kentucky. Shaw looked a bit overwhelmed when he started against East Carolina in Charlotte at the start of the season, but hopefully playing at home he can get a little more comfortable, settle in, and spark the passing game. It sure could use it.
Glad. I want Spurrier to do so well at South Carolina, I feel like the defense has been stout enough to compete, he has had some good WR's, he finally no has a great RB and I want to see that dynamic offense. I am curious why he has yet to find an explosive QB since being at South Carolina.
Are you from South Carolina, silka?!?
No, Chicago is as far east as I've been and ever care to go. Just always been a huge fan of Spurrier, and for some reason liked South Carolina even before Spurrier was there.
another thread to pretty much say what we've been hearing on sports radio. Awesome.
Hey, you know what? ,, I think LSU has the best D in the Conference if not one of the best in the nation
