Tornado risk tomorrow -- enhanced category. Should be an interesting late afternoon/evening.

Definitely looks like it's going to be a fun evening.

Almost 80 yesterday, and snow overnight.

    Colorado at it's finest.

Good Ole Bastardi claims that this is the type of weather that happens whenever the AMO switches from positive to negative, which is what's believe to be taking place now. He and others are saying we can likely expect an above average severe storm season as we proceed through spring and if the AMO is flopping, then probably these colder springs and severe weather will be with us for a while before the AMO finally turns back positive decades from now.

Getting up to upper 40s/low50s. Snow continuing to melt around here. Ready for the green to arrive.

Ok, I've never heard of a PDS -- Particularly Dangerous Situation. That said, I've also can't remember a forecast calling for tennis ball sized hail.

Be safe! Hopefully hail that size doesn't come to fruition and hopefully tornadoes don't hit.

Fortunately, the storm moved much slower than expected, and by the time it got to the central part of the state it changed from individual super cells to one big squall line, so all we got was a quick moving thunderstorm and then hours of rain.

Looks like three or four tornado touchdowns in the western fourth of the state and non tornado wind damage. Mountain Home had power lines down and multiple buildings damaged, including a partial collapse of a nursing home after the roof blew off/caved in. Initial reports were straight line winds in the 85-90 MPH range, which is a lot higher than we normally get even in thunderstorms.

Now, tomorrow we'll have a low around or just below freezing.

My friend, in Wisconsin, is getting close to 3 ft of snow out of this storm. Damn. Someone better check on sneakers.

I hadn't looked, but I had seen some tweets from some of the weather guys I follow that said it could be epic.

It's currently 66 and cloudy here today - high of mid to high 70's.

Rain and snow on Friday and Saturday.

Yes, MO - that would be sleet. Rain and Snow.

I was hoping sunny to get my Rocky Mt fix from the air, because I'll be flying through Denver on Sat. morning.
