Are you referring to the 2nd episode, "Rising Malevolence," when Plo Koon & 3 Clonetroopers had to go outside their escape pod in order to fight off droids that were going around and busting all of them? Plo was a Kel Dor...,
So although he didn't have a pressurized suit, he still had a breathing apparatus that enable him to survive outside his native atmosphere....a sentient species native to the planet Dorin. In order to survive oxygen-rich environments, they were required to wear specialized breath masks that covered their eyes and nostrils.

Ok, I was wrong. I really shouldn’t be defending that part of that movie. It didn’t bother me, but it was still a poorly written way to show Leia’s awakening to the Force. There are a zillion other ways to do it other than her floating through space.
I’ll concede a lot of needless plot points in The Last Jedi, but I think Ryen Johnson had the better character development path for Rey than the other two movies and while the action in The Rise of Skywalker was incredible, and there were a lot of space battle/adventure parts of that movie that make it a fan favorite, the writing was just lazy as shit.
Edit: I also will advocate for Luke’s death. It was a necessary plot point, and it’s part of Star Wars to have force ghosts. We know Luke isn’t gone, and he wasn’t. You can’t make good action movies without making some sacrifices, and it’s easy to sacrifice a Jedi because they are still one with the force, and therefore not gone!
I think the Rey-Ren character chemistry development in the Last Jedi did have a lot of potential, but so did the Poe-Finn development in the Force Awakens that was abandoned by Johnson. Killing off Snoke in the Last Jedi was like it would've been killing off Vador in the Empire Strikes Back. Everything about Luke in the Last Jedi, including his death, was unworthy of his legacy.

Rey-Ren were weak ass and not compelling characters. Just IMO. Just sad.

The prospect of whether or not they would join forces or not was more compelling then what JJ Abrams did with them. Not saying much, but I you do want to find something that was better about the Last Jedi then the other 2 episodes of the trilogy, that's the best I can find.

The new SW movies were for intellectuals. You can mostly draw conclusions based on those lines. The people who liked it are mostly intelligent and educated (not necessarily formal education) vs. the ones who didn't are mostly not educated people and have little use for nuance.
