Elway tends to big a big player in FA. He wills all holes on roster leaving him the option for BPA in draft. Which then he usually always goes defense in round 1. Immediate needs that FA will address: Simmons, CB, OL, WR and DL.

Unless Chubb is moves to DL we have serious holes on DL if nobody is resigned. We have Interior OL holes if nobody is resigned and a LT hole. I think we need a vet WR and with Harris we have no legit heathy lock down corners if he walks.

Rumors of Stefon Diggs wanting out of Minnesota. Yes please! It'd be like getting Sanders all over again.

I heard or saw today....think it was a si article......the year we got ware, talib and ward we only had 30 mil in cap space.......I didn't know that. We could have anywhere from 60-80 mil so I expect the DL, LB and CB to all be big big targets in FA.....I expect 2 DL names( 1 of them to be either wolfe or Harris) a Strong LB FA as well as a top flight CB to be signed.....
    Denver's 2024 George Paton Draft/FA plan

    RD1- TE Brock Bowers, GA
    RD3- QB Spencer Rattler, SC
    RD4- CB Josh Newton, TCU
    RD5- S Reggie Pearson, OK
RD5- C Michael Jurgens, Wake Forest
RD6- K Jonah Dalmas, Boise St

When you have a HoF QB, you have free agents that want to win some games.

if I remember correctly they weren't exactly team friendly deals though and we still fit it under our 30 mil of cap space....The point I was making is we have more FA dollars for some big acquisitions then I personally may have realized......

They were all considered decent deals. Talib was the one who got the biggest contract iirc.

    Diggs likes Shurmur too.

Diggs would add a lot, at least in my estimation. He might not be fast enough to be a true burner, though. Then again, you should be able to find a 4.3ish 40 yard dasher somewhere in the draft.

It is imperative, and cannot be state enough or overstated, that Lock be given elite level players on offense. He must be ARMED for WAR!

Trade a 3rd for Diggs and take Hamler in round 2. WR corps done

Diggs and a young pure speed guy would immediately give Lock tons of options when combined with Fant and Sutton. That offense could be scary AF with even a B- Oline.

Id rather sign Jadeveon Clowney at put him on the DL if we’re gonna put an undersized player there, leaving Chubb at OLB.

I’m afraid Cowballs May have set the WR trade market at a 1st round pick, Diggs is already extended too, which might drive UP his value.

the donkeys need a speed guy to take the top off the defense. . . it doesn't have to be a big name, expensive guy-- just a vet who knows how to run routes and get open. . . they've already invested big in sutton and fant to be the top targets, and they have some capable depth guys. . . someone who can stretch the field should be the priority, because they currently don't have anyone who can fill that role. . . robby anderson, paul richardson, philip dorsett, corey coleman, someone of that ilk. . . then double down with another WR or receiving TE with one of those 3rd or 4th round picks. . . that will get it done-- IF they properly rebuild the O-line, so lock can actually take a five step drop without getting killed. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Paul Richardson, can’t stay healthy but he fast, cheap and wouldn’t count against Broncos in comp pick equation.

    Edit;

    Btw, CU team captain.
