I am a lost soul, I shoot myself with rock and roll
The hole I dig is bottomless, but nothing else can set me free

Welcome to a stream of consciouness description of my thoughts to NCAA Football 06 soundtrack (never heard it).

Train in Vain jumps out at me. Love that song. I need to listen to it now. Ok it's on. Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaa

    You say you stand...

    Ok, where was I.

Atomic Garden. Have I heard that? It sounds super familiar.

    Me myself & I by De La...Gold

Teenage FBI by GBV (for the home audience that's the author of the 'I am a lost soul...' lyrics above) ... cool song, I dig lo-fi DIY stuff like GBV

Oh hey, here's a spotify playlist with all the tracks.

Ok, I can't log in to spotify for some reason. No big.

Turns out Atomic Garden is early Bad Religion...neat. I like their Generator album, but that track doesn't jump out.

There's some NOFX, Lush, Superchunk, ... I'd probably like this soundtrack a lot.

...I loved the THPS 3 soundtrack...

    I wish you would

    Come pick me up,
    Take me out,
    **** me up,
    Steal my records,
    Screw all my friends,
    They're all full of shit,
With a smile on your face.
    And then do it again

    I wish you would

Well, this place is old, it feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn't turn
What smells of cheap wine, cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn
I'm so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
    Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dying dreams
I think her death, it must be killing me
    Hey, hey, hey

    - AND -

The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again, I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside, darling, you know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking that maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright
Oh, and that's alright with me

    Border line
    Dead inside
    I don't mind
    Falling to pieces
    Count me in, violent
    Let's begin feeding the sickness
    How do I simplify?
Dislocate the enemy's on the way

    Show me what it's like
To dream in black and white
So I can leave this world tonight

    If Cyrano de Bergerac
Fell prey to the blades of fifty men
With a heart and a sword he'd drive them back
Perchance to see Roxanne's eyes light up the sky again
And when beauty kind and full of grace
Again denied the beast her hand
The beast he turned and hid his face
And tried with all his might and magic to understand

    And once upon a time
You know I used to wonder why
You know no one should need to cry
In pain of a heart forbade to fly
But you learn to say goodbye
As you whisper beneath a sigh

    Sweet pain
    Can't you plainly see?
    Sweet pain
You know it matters to me
    Sweet pain
Won't you make me feel at home?
    Sweet pain
Don't you dare leave me alone

    Sweet Pain - Blues Traveler
