I hope the Broncos never have a Top 5 QB ... might hurt ‘our’ salary cap.

I Just don't buy this. we have 37 mil in cap space with our all contracts for next year. We need to re-sign Shelby and Simmons and have space to do so, still get a couple FA's and sign our draft class. It has already accounted for Von, Casey and kjax options and cap hits.

The tough options things occurs only if we want to bring Watson and you can address that simply by cutting Casey since Watson's cap hit next year is a paltry 16 mil.......The followings years the cap will be much higher but we have some big contracts like James and Millers we can get off the books.....

Watson is due 16 mil in 2021 it rises to 40 mil in 2022, and that will create some tough calls but miller's contract comes off the books as well as Kjax......

Don't be surprised either if we get Houston to pay some of it lol. They aren't that smart in the FO there.....

Piss off dude, lol Watson ain’t available and we don’t have cap room to be adding a guy who isn’t going to necessarily move the needle to far which is evident of his 4-12 season that was legit filled up with inflated stats that was put up after being down 24 points a lot of the times. It is what it is!

He’s good but I need to see him more in a competitive type season whether that’s in Houston or Denver or anywhere else which I doubt happens

I hope that when we get a top 5 quarterback he’s actually a true top 5 performer during the games and not just somebody you look back at after a 4-12 season and say man he had good stats though!

Lol Houston paying hun to play for another team is doubtful but man 40 million a year is the type of cash a guy better be in the playoffs year in year out and actually win one or two! I’ll be watching.

And regardless of how much I bag on Watson I do respect him as a good player but I just need to see more.

Drew Lock fanboy putting down Watson. That is some intelligent commentary right there.

I was referring around the NFL and FA.

in that case we agree, a number of teams are going to have to cut bait with players they normally wouldn't. I don't think we have to be a team in that mold unless we really are after Watson and lining up for the swing. However as mentioned I think getting rid of Casey gives us all the room we need to bring him in and still pay Kjax, von and re-sign Shelby and Simmons ....

Even more so as we most likely wont have a first rd. pick this year or next and probably would lose this years second nd next as well. That makes keeping Von and Kjax and and re-signing Shelby and Simmons more important then ever. We need a RT tackle, a elite athletic ILB to pair with AJ, a corner plan and a replacement plan for Von those are the top 4 issues facing this team besides the QB question.

I just realized that you think Watson has only played QB in the ‘20 season.
