I hope people aren’t reading too much into one game- good or bad.

Really, spiker? Just have fun with it. It's a lost season. Lock is gonna have his ups & downs. Him & Scangs are gonna have to gel together.

WR’s can wait, it’s far easier to fill that position than OL.

Broncos got Sutton in 2nd round.

No no.. I get it. But when he has the inevitable setback it’s going to be ugly in here if people don’t watch with caution.

I didn’t necessarily mean this week, but it will happen.

Here are the things that gave me great hope watching Drew last week.

    1. Quick decisions in collapsing pockets and/or busted bootlegs. I commented on this in the HS thread but I really liked how the times a bootleg was busted from the begining he was very quickly able to find an outlet and at least get the ball out and take an incomplete. He seems to have a very fast processor and I like that in terms of demonstrating a high football IQ.

    2. Footwork in the pocket was really good. It's been a while since we've seen a QB who actually knows how to step UP in a pocket and keep his eyes downfield. His second TD was a phenomenal example of this.

    3. Arm strength and arm angles. He absolutely has a canon, easily the best arm we've had since Cutler. I also really liked how he showed he can throw around guys by changing his arm angle. Look at the best QBs Watson, Rodgers, Mahomes and Wilson they all have great ability to change arm angle to fit different situations and still throw accurate passes. To me this is a sign of elite arm talent, not just NFL arm talent but elite NFL arm talent. The kid has it.

    4. His enthusiasm and apparent love for the game. We haven't seen much of that in Denver from our QBs. It's fun to watch.

    1. I agree. His backpedaling while also throwing an accurate ball is just the best. It's the opposite of what we've had for so long.

    2. His mechanics are much better than I expected. That video you linked earlier talked about how he was able to properly shorten his last step with his cleats on the ground for a great TD throw.

    3. Arm strength matters, and it only ever was overratted because bad teams drafted for it solely. I ******* love having a guy who can threaten the entire field, and do so under pressure/quickly. It's huge, especially in this day of offensive numbers. His arm angles are great, and gives him more flexibility as a passer.

First round talent that stupid teams let slide. Why? Because they dumb.

    We smart.
