You've won me over. I'm still firm at a 4th rd pick though

And a QB with less wins than Lock gives them “every chance to win football games”?

The Broncos just got done trying to win with scrubs like Minshew, it didn’t go well.

TS, Case ******* Keesum, Brandon Allen ... you’d think Broncos fans would be over their scrub hardon.

They all “fit the system” and gave them “every chance to win football games”.

Yet, every single one of you turn your nose at Top 10 draft talent, it’s ******* bizarre.

I’ll take my chances with another Tannyhill.

Colt McCoy is 34 and onto his umpteenth team, he’s never established himself as a starter yet keeps finding a job because people (OC’s we’re talking about you) want “Fits the system” guy.

The chances of winning a Chip with McCoy/Minshew/Mac Jones are so infinitesimal that it makes bringing them into THIS situation utterly pointless. You’re better off in the long run starting Hinton at QB, at least you won’t “Win” your way out of the lottery pick it takes to get Lawrence, Fields AND Lance.

I’ve been Shurmur biggest proponent here but he insists on a Case Keesum type then he and his system can **** off. You win Chips with talent, /discussion.

You continue to ignore the basic premise that backups are a necessary part of the team. No team rosters three stars at QB. Everyone has a backup and some are better than others. You want one that can win a few games in case of a short term injury to your starter. I understand your point that if your QB sucks, a backup winning some games may not be best for the long term big picture. That's said, you may simply need someone to steer the ship for a short stint. It would be a shame if the starter had us rolling, missed a couple games due to injury and our backup simply couldn't get anything done.

They're not advocating bringing him in as "the guy". They're saying bring him in to backup Lock if he's not the guy until we have a chance to get the guy.

We don't have a chance to do that this year.

Jaded, since you think Minshew is so awful he should be your ideal backup since you think if the starter gets hurt we should lose every game for the draft pickz!!!!!

    ^this

Other than im against drafting a QB in the 1st. Id much prefer Parsons, or secondary and roll with Lock. That said, we need a backup. Minshew for a 6th would be great. Give Lock a friggin chance under "normal" conditions and we go from there.

The thing is if locks not the answer then we need to just ride it out with him for the year anyway, we need to see this thing through while securing a top 3 yard pick. Nonetheless I don’t forecast any of this stuff happening though since Lock will be in MVP conversations this season.

It is very strange but broncos fans do tend to have a for garbage/mediocre quarterbacks. I’ll never understand it really.

He’s correct on this though. This year is Drew Lock or bust.

The only way lock comes out of the starting line up is if the season is lost and there’s a rookie we just drafted Me waiting in the wings to get his feet wet like a Mac Jones,

I dont think all the QB's in the top 10 are actually that good but you do make a valid point about people screaming for Minshew, etc. We saw just last year people were crying for Bortles to get a chance and yet the guy isnt even on the team anymore without ever even playing a down. We are almost better just giving another rookie a shot than bringing in guys who have a losing mentality. For everything that Foles did for one year he went and bombed elsewhere. If we are banking on someone coming in for Lock to try and win games we are simply better off just going with another rookie QB. I have no faith that pornstache Minshew is somehow going to win games here all of a sudden.
