England up 2-0 at the 43 mark, at least for now.

3-0 England, starting to get ugly. Granted Iran's starting goalie left early in the game after receiving a concussion.

It’s good result for us. Iran being whipped early help our chance of getting to knockout stage. Super pumped for 1400 game tday
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

Tonight, for 90 minutes I am your enemy!
Stupidly excited and nervous too. There has been such a buzz here as you can understand. Qualification for the 1st time since 1958!

Felt a little bad for Qatar when they gave up a goal in the first 3 minutes yesterday - but it serves them right for banning beer!

US needs at least a tie today.

My preferred group standings - Wales top, USA 2nd!
But that "other" team has gotten off to a flyer today unfortunately!

Complete mastery from the USA this 1st half.
    Our midfield is non existent.
You guys could easily have been several goals up HT.

gg Jaws. Typical USMNT - even in a game where they look more dominant than I've ever seen them at a World Cup, they still find a way to screw it up.

That tackle on Bale was such a stupid decision by the defender, who I’ve never heard of. Bury his ass on the bench. He cost the team the win. We’ll have to hope Iran can draw with Wales and the US can beat them handily. England will destroy everyone in this group in that form they showed today.
