When the Broncos take on the Raiders, several jobs should be on the line
https://denverfan.com/2095636/when-t...e-on-the-line/NFL folks like to throw around cliches. One of their favorites is used to explain away personnel changes.
“It’s a results-oriented business,” they say when players are benched and coaches are fired. The translation is simple: It’s all about wins and losses.
If that’s truly the case, then Sunday’s game against the Raiders is big for a lot of people associated with the Broncos. Because if everyone is being honest, the results in Denver haven’t been good enough for a long time.

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
This. If we lose to the Fade, the coaching staff should be canned. Good teams don’t lose 3 in a row (2 at home). If we lose, it essentially signals that we are a bad team that hasn’t improved in the Fangio era.
Hell, if we’re losing at halftime we should have security escort Shurmur out and have Shanny take over playcalling duties in the booth…

#Broncos summary. Mike Boone activated, speedy John Brown and Tyrie Cleveland elevated to 53 man roster and Mike Ford goes on IR. And Jerry Jeudy designated to return from IR. Might play vs Browns, but should definitely be ready for Washington barring any setbacks #Denver7

doing a little food prep for some tailgating tomorrow. . .
getting jeudy and boone back should help, and maybe brown can as well-- our offense has plenty of size and skill with guys like sutton, patrick, fant, and williams, but it doesn't have a lot of speed. . . teddy needs guys who can run after the catch on his five- yard throws. . .

gonna do bacon cheeseburgers with all the fixings, a nacho bar, and grilled veggie kabobs. . . and obviously, beers and whisky. . . i'm just finishing the marinade for the kabobs, and it's damn tasty. . . looks like we're going to have perfect weather, too. . . i haven't been to a game in a few years, i'm looking forward to it. . . now we just need the donkeys to do their part, and deliver a classic shanny-style raider beatdown. . .
