A roll-the-dice GM could offer, say, a 2022 first and a 2022 third for Watson with the condition that, if he's suspended, the team keeps their first and only gives Houston a third, but if he's not suspended, the third converts to a first in 2023.
It's a huge risk but that team is only out a third if Watson is suspended. If he's not, you've now added a top-tier QB for merely a pair of firsts, well below the asking price talked about before the controversy began. This would have to be done by a GM that feels *very* secure about their job but I could see it if it checked all the boxes (including Watson's approval).

Middlepoint?:
Its likely that Houston does not know anymore than anyone else at this point.
Counterpoint:
It is likely that houston might be the last to know about what is going on with how little watson wants to talk to them. It is possible we (or anyone connected to watson) may find out sooner. Just a thought.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell
Clearly, if the Texans knew which way this was going down, they wouldn't agree to the trade unless they thought Watson was getting put away. That's why you'd have to strike before a decision was known. Perhaps the Texans are sick of the uncertainty and the bad pub and just want to get it over with. Perhaps a a new team is willing to take the gamble thinking a third-rounder for Watson is like pennies on the dollar even if he has to sit out a year or more. Would you give up a third for a QB of Watson's talents even if you had to wait until 2023 to play him? Mike Tyson didn't forget how to box just by serving a prison sentence.

The Texans aren’t really concerned with it to that extent, they wasn’t trading him before it came out and they already knew of Watson behavior.
