This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Just know when your have your take that we should have traded for Wentz based on him landing in the perfect situation that probably wouldn't have been replicable anywhere else, that it's a bad take.

lol your ‘take’ is so bad that you are already ceding that he will be successful in Indy and in anticipation of an I told you so, you are pre arranging a response. Hence, pre-annoyed.

That second could be a 1st.

I was a big fan of bringing him in. I would only do it for a 3rd. Not a 3rd and anything else- 2nd or conditional first. That said I do think he will do well there. They have a really good Oline and RB and some catchers. Their defense is solid too. I think its a brilliant fit for the Colts and I expect them to be one of the best teams now. They are complete. If he sucks then they are the broncos.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Man a 3rd and a 2nd for a mvp caliber quarterback is stealing. I really think we shoulda took a swing at that. I was under the impression it was going to take multiple 1st but damn a 3rd and a 2nd...... wow. Indy got themselves a steal. His contract is bad but if he returns to what he was it’s going to look bad for everyone who passed on that deal but yet traded multiple first or triple first for stafford or a Watson.

Apparently Wentz only wanted to go to Indy. Again, I just don't think he'd have been a fit here. He'd have been pouty not going where he wanted and he'd have absolutely clashed with Fangio. And if his Philly career were any indication, having to be in a QB competition would have made him a malcontent too. The fact that literally only the colts even made a trade offer should tell you all you need to know. Half the league is trying to get Watson and Philly had to give Wentz away. He might do great in Indy. Doesn't mean it would have worked here.

I was never in favor of Denver bringing in Wentz purely because of his disgusting contract.

That’s a great deal for Wentz, he’ll be fine.

Small note, but it looks like if we let Shelby Harris walk in free agency we'd likely get a 4th round compensatory pick for him.

Ju'Wuan James apparently stopped following the broncos and tweeted "It was meant to happen".

Good riddance if he's gone. He committed highway robbery here.
