Probably right.......if hes ok with the tag.

Denver can make it hard by offering him a large contract during the combine. (tampering doesnt count there it seems)
    IN PATON I TRUST.

Jones will stay in KC, but it will cost them in other positions. Sammy Watkins and their starting CB will be lost to pay his est. $18/19M annual salary.

BTW the Trust (Ellis) has been extremely tight with the cash the last couple of years. There was reason Denver wouldn’t up the offer to Campbell by $1m bucks or so.

If true, this is pretty disappointing. This is not how Pat operated and I'm sure he would be cracking some skulls if he were still around.

Not sure i agree. Elway doesnt want to overpay either. Look at all the money theyve thrown at the Tackle position with the latest whiff.

That why we need a true owner with resources.

He is operating under a softcap and it one of the reason the front office is so small. They are trying to field a competitive team so they will spend money, but they won't stretch the internal operating budget.

As a street FA I don’t think Osemele counts in the comp pick equation.

I believe Danny Trevathon is a FA again, what say y’all?

True but he is still a upgrade over Davis and a very big upgrade over Jewell. Personally I would go big in FA at LB(Littleton, Schobert, Martinez) and CB (Jones, Bradberry), Get Simmons locked up and then draft a F'in OL and 1 of them WR prospects lol

He would be an upgrade. I just hope we could get a bigger upgrade. I guess it would depend on the contract. I don't know. I don't know much anymore.

he's an ideal scheme fit who would significantly improve our biggest weakness, coverage in the middle of the field. . . he also has major durability concerns, which is a huge red flag after last year's disastrous free agency. . . if his market price is anything higher than a one year prove it deal with the bulk of the money in the form of incentives, then it should be a hard pass. . . denver can't afford to tie up any more of their cap space in injured reserve, given the money they'll already be wasting on ju'wann james and bryce callahan. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Rumors circulating that teams may be willing to pay Shelby Harris over 12 mil per year, In a bidding war I'm not sure were willing to pay that needing a top cb and also re-signing Simmons. Sport trac has his FA value at 11.7 mil per year, rumors are also circulating colts really want him. Kinda like the whole Harris to the Eagles schtick. Pretty sure we are highly interested in Byron Jones, but I also think we should consider our top 3 rd pick for Slay if we can't get Jones, and then sign him to a extension....
