Really, since about the 80's when Frank Miller hit the scene, comics have grown up a bit in their content. Some more so than others.

If you have a poor dungeon master running a campaign it wont last. The game is only as good as the DM is.

Honestly, I've always wanted to give it a try, but I was never THAT nerdy I played a lot of video games based of D&D rulesets though so I guess that kind of counts.

Games like Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior and Phantasy Star was the end of D&D.

I stopped playing it completely when i started playing RPGs on Sega Master Sysyem when i was just a cub.

I wish i had the kinda time to play D&D let alone videogames.

I make time for video games, much to my wife's chagrin. Though with the impending move and likely reality of working two jobs....I doubt I'll make time again for a long while.

I also have a modified crossbow its pretty badass
