he's been linked to about 6 teams for a year. Colorado wants too much, but something will get done at some point.
Great start to the Avs season.

They are still fairly frustrating to watch. Sloppy with passes and blocking lanes. Comeau looked like he was playing with the wrong end of his stick, every time he tried to shoot or pass he seemed to only get a partial...
But Varly looked really good. Hopefully he can carry us again, so we avoid another 2016.
So far, so good for the Avs - 4-0 against Boston today.

That was by far their best game of the year (yes, I know, small sample), but I don't think I've seen them step on a throat like that in all of 2016. They played extremely tight, defensive hockey with the lead and exploited the hell of the desperate bruins.
Strong 4-1 start for the avalanche. Of course, I think I remember saying something similar last year before they proceeded to fall asleep in their own sick.... but I digress.
They absolutely look a much better team than last year, and are actually outshooting their opponents in most games... something I don't remember seeing for years!
Is Varlamov and Bernier going to keep splitting games evenly or is Varla the main guy when healthy?
rest - http://www.denverpost.com/2017/10/20...l-nhl-mistake/A lively Avalanche rally late in the third period Thursday night against the St. Louis Blues ended in shrugs after a video review overturned a would-be game-tying goal with less than three minutes remaining. Confusion set in on all sides.
On Friday, the NHL admitted a blunder.
“The goal should have counted,” the NHL said in a statement.
Mikko Rantanen’s open-net goal seemed to tie the game at 4-4, but St. Louis coach Mike Yeo challenged the result, claiming the sequence only unfolded from an offside position. The Avs’ goal should not be allowed, Yeo claimed. After a long review, the referee and linesmen agreed.

I was so irritated, I shut it off at that point. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Good win for the avs. Congrats to Nieto on his first career hat trick. Some absolutely gorgeous saves by Varly too. If that keeps up, we could be above 500 this year!
