Dinner tonight: Bi Bim Bop
It's a Korean mostly vegatarian dish you can make with leftovers.
Required ingredients:
Cooked Rice
1 Egg
Oil.
Optional ingredients:
Kim Chi (I love the stuff so I always have some on hand)
Pickled Veggies -- We will slice up some carrots, cukes, and peppers, and do a light pickle with some rice vinegar, sugar and a little salt. Just combine to your taste and throw them in the fridge so they are ready.
Sauteed Mushrooms -- Shitakis are best, but any will do.
Cooked Asparagus
Fry up the cooked rice with a little garlic and sesame oil and throw it in a bowl.
Fry the egg sunny side up, or over easy, and top the rice with it.
Throw the veggies of choice on top with some sriracha or other hot sauce.
Enjoy
I got mind control while I'm here
You goin' hate me when I'm gone
Ain't no blood clot and no fear
I got hope inside of my bones
mac and cheese is also a great 'foundation' for incorporating leftovers .
I add sauteed mushrooms, diced jalepeno, asparagus tips and TUNA to my mac and cheese.
great, easy comfort food, everything cooking in a single pan (wok ).
CAN WE PLEASE JUST SKIP ALL THE NONESENSE AND JUST TALK FOOTBALL?
I figured you did.
But when my son was between 4 & 8 mac and Cheese was pretty much the staple of his diet. That's all he wanted to eat. My wife must have made it for him more than 100 times and several years later she still needs to read the directions.
I no longer needed Mac and Cheese directions when I was 12 but I consider myself special.
