    Default Bill Belichick

Did anyone think it was poor sportsmanship when he walked off the field before the game was officially over. I think the NFL should make an example out of him and fine him. I know there was confusion and they werent happy about losing but there was no reason for that. That was no way a leader should act.

Sorry if there is another thread started about this.

Billy "Won't be a Hero" Bellieache would run up the score if he could and will pout if he doesn't get his way. His walking off the field like that, made him look like an ass.

He showed his true colors in front of the 97.5 million people who watched the game. Belichick is a sore loser and since he didn't get his a win he took off like a little brat. No class at all.

Belichick has built this reputation on his own. With the letdown of one game from a perfect season, any other coach would have been forgiven and most would have understood the agony of almost reaching the top just to slide to the bottom in the blink of an eye. With this said, Belichick cannot be forgiven and until he changes his attitude no one will give him the benfit of the doubt. Even Tom Coughlin was known the be a hard-*** and ruthless and not liked by many, but this year he changed his ways and look what happened - respect from peers, players, fans, and media and a SB ring. Belichick is getting what he deserves and if all this cheating scandal comes around to be true, they need to treat him as baseball does Pete Rose! JMO!

He did run to met Coughlin at mid-feild to shake his hand and congratulate him. At that time when he ran into the locker room with 1 second left i totally understand Bilicheck feeling and reacting the way he did and wanting to get off the feild ASAP ... I don't knock him for that.

They were 18-0 and lost the SB ...

Hey he was perfectly content to let other coaches sit through getting the score run up on them , I think he could have showed some class and come back on the field , the defense made it!

I was indifferent - a lot of people thought the game was over. But...

The players had to remain. He should have too.

Actually only 22 had toe stay on the field 11 NE 11 NYG.

I see no reason for him to wander back to his sideline for one snap. He thought the game was over. There was no time on the clock when he went to shake coughlins hand.

He might be an ass but I would have done the same thing allow the winning team their time in the spotlight..

this is not directed at Joe..

He knew there was one snap left. I think he should have sucked it up and stayed. I thought it showed poor character on his part, again. Just show a little bit of respect, wait til the game is over, then do what you gotta do.

I agree completely. You got beat in the biggest game of the year...stand firm and take your medicine. I have no respect for a guy that runs to hide in the lockerroom.

He was half way to the locker room after going to find the other coach.. I think he wanted to get off the field and let the other team have the glory they deserved..

I think it was assine to make the teams go back out for one more snap.. The time show zero on the scoreboard he left..
