Thread: Bill Belichick

  1. #1

    Default Bill Belichick

Did anyone think it was poor sportsmanship when he walked off the field before the game was officially over. I think the NFL should make an example out of him and fine him. I know there was confusion and they werent happy about losing but there was no reason for that. That was no way a leader should act.

Sorry if there is another thread started about this.

Billy "Won't be a Hero" Bellieache would run up the score if he could and will pout if he doesn't get his way. His walking off the field like that, made him look like an ass.

    You did.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

He did run to met Coughlin at mid-feild to shake his hand and congratulate him. At that time when he ran into the locker room with 1 second left i totally understand Bilicheck feeling and reacting the way he did and wanting to get off the feild ASAP ... I don't knock him for that.

They were 18-0 and lost the SB ...

I was indifferent - a lot of people thought the game was over. But...

The players had to remain. He should have too.

Actually only 22 had toe stay on the field 11 NE 11 NYG.

I see no reason for him to wander back to his sideline for one snap. He thought the game was over. There was no time on the clock when he went to shake coughlins hand.

He might be an ass but I would have done the same thing allow the winning team their time in the spotlight..

this is not directed at Joe..

Sometimes we allow our dislike for someone to get the best of us..
And then Sometimes we allow our jealousy for a successful program to get the best of us..

He knew there was one snap left. I think he should have sucked it up and stayed. I thought it showed poor character on his part, again. Just show a little bit of respect, wait til the game is over, then do what you gotta do.

I agree completely. You got beat in the biggest game of the year...stand firm and take your medicine. I have no respect for a guy that runs to hide in the lockerroom.

He was half way to the locker room after going to find the other coach.. I think he wanted to get off the field and let the other team have the glory they deserved..

I think it was assine to make the teams go back out for one more snap.. The time show zero on the scoreboard he left..

I agree it's a stupid rule to make them run the last play...but I can't understand leaving your team on the field and running off to the showers. That just rubs me the wrong way.

Just talkin here, but how many games has this guys coached ? He knows you have to take the FINAL SNAP or the game isn't over. That's crazy, sure he went to shake hands, but why couldn't that have waited for a couple more seconds ? No,,he stops the game, gets one last fling on the big screen, causes a little more controversy, gets people to gripe at him a little more, and goes into the locker room, while the rest of the world waits,,,, waits,,,, and watches the final snap of the game. Sorry, I think he had good intention of doing what he did. JMO. P.S. If he had wore his gray cutoff sweatshirt (instead of red) he might have won the game, shoudn't have switched up to the red one this late in the season..J/K...

I think the team except for the 11 that had to stay pretty much left also.. I could not tell and frankly I was getting ready to boogie from the party I was at..

If it was done without making an effort to shake the coaches hand then I would feel the same way..

Should be on the sideline until the end. They should fine him half a mil.
