It took them longer to sell out the Titans playoff game because of the rain. One Charger fan was on the news ripping all those fans who sold their tickets due to the rain.

The 65,000 season ticket holders is actually true, however it took a 14-2 season to get that to happen. The one thing that I think is totally lame is those stupid mini packages the have so that they won't have a lot of opposing fans in the crowd and I think they are the only NFL team to do this. This doesn't stop me because I will always find a way to go.

I went to a Bolts/Raiders game in LA and it was pretty close to everything you have listed. I went with a couple of college buddies and knew to not wear anything Bolts related. I kept it very low key and didn't have any problems, but others were not so fortunate. I have never seen so many fights at a game in my life. The true mob mentality took over. It wasn't any fun at all.

I haven't been to the black hole, but would like to go someday. I have heard it isn't as bad as things were back in LA.

Nope, the Chiefs are desperate for fans, and Channel 5 even had to buy some tickets so it was on television for two games, I believe.

You have heard of those people who buy up to 30 season ticket packages for face value and then sell the tickets for profit?....... It happens everywhere. Pick up your more recent ESPN magazine... they actually have a pretty good article in there about it. Guys spend 30,000 dollars on ticket packages and then sell them and make six figure profits each year.

I've been to 40-50 Raiders games, none in Oakland since I live in New York. I want to go to a game in Oakland, but I'm too lazy to make the trip that far with any vacation time I might use. The worst place is Philly, especially when the Giants come to town. The Raider game I went to there in 2001 wasn't bad. But the Giants games I went to, forget it. I'll never go there again for those rivals.

    It' actually 52,700.

And I applaud the Chargers for the move. All teams should revoke season ticket privileges for fans who acts in such a way that they are ejected. That means you are really being stupid.

How did you come up with this number?

I doubt if it's even that high.

OCEANSIDE ---- While the San Diego Chargers are considering moving to Oceanside, more than 8,800 of the team's season ticket holders already come from North County, according to statistics that the team provided the North County Times.

A breakdown shows that about 20,000 of the NFL team's season ticket holders are from the city of San Diego, 4,300 are from the South Bay, 7,400 are from East County, 8,500 are from Orange and Riverside counties, and 4,500 come from outside the state. The rest of the team's ticket holders come from other counties in the state.

After doing the math, I apologize, as I made an error. It's a little over 40,000, not 50,000.

While I did not bother to guess at that last vague sentence, this article gives a definitive number.

Although, these are certainly self reported numbers from the Chargers.

I also find it hard to believe that they have 23,000 or outside of the area, as the claim of 65,000 by others would lead us to believe. That would mean a lot of fans from areas traditionally held by the Raiders and 49ers.

And I suppose a very small number of old timers might be from AZ from the pre-Cardinal days, when it was split between the Rams, Broncos, Chargers, and Raiders.

    But not 23,000 or more.

For several years the city of San Diego had pretty much the same thing going. They would buy the rest of the tickets so the blackout would be lifted.
