Broncos lose tackle Ryan Harris for season

Broncos tackle Ryan Harris' absence from the Broncos lineup for nearly all of November had a noticeable effect on the team's offense.

Now the Broncos will have to get used to playing without him for the rest of the season.

Harris re-injured his toe Sunday against the Chiefs, and was told by a medical specialist that he won't be able to play again this season, according to Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post. Local Denver hero Tyler Polumbus will take over Harris' spot.

Harris isn't a household name, but he's quietly developed into one of the better right tackles in football for the Broncos.

The team has largely done an excellent job protecting Kyle Orton and creating holes for the team's ninth-ranked rushing attack.

Ahh dammit. That really hurts. Not to mention what a great player he is, but we are already so short on depth along the oline.

I think the Giants game is the only one weve won without him. Im not sure though, and to sad to really look.

Looks like he'll be on injured reserve, I guess they'll have to put clay's fat ass out there to block. Clay, please don't let your disdain for kyle get in the way of protecting him. We need his ankles.

Damn...., sorry to hear about that. This whole year has been rough on him since camp this year.

Well that pretty much sucks. Hopefully Polumbos or whatever the heck his name is can fill the rest of the year. From what I've seen, he has done ok. Not great in pass protection, but he's a youngen and learning.
