Default Sam Bradford or Rolondo Mcclain?

If Bradford is there, do we take him? I've seen a lot of Mocks having us take Mcclain. What would you do? Or would you take someone else?

NO need for a first round Qb when we have way to many other needs to fill Especially on the NT/DE positions. a Qb that will have to sit up to a couple of years to learn this scheme will not help win next year like a stud NT will it is the LOS issues that hurts this team more than anything else.

I would take McClain. Im not crazy about any of the QB's coming out this year overall. Especially since you could probably get a guy like Snead later on.

I'd take Bradford in a heartbeat, but he'll be long gone. GM's were polled and overwhelmingly came to a consensus that the 3 most important positions to have on a team are, and in order:
    1. Franchise QB
    2. Fanchise LT
    3. Dominating pass rusher

Bradford would give us the missing ingredient of the 3. For those of you who don't know much about him, look up the thread on him in this forum. He'll be a franchise QB in the NFL. Of course that's just my opinion, which along with a dollar will get you a coffee.

Is there a DT/DE worth taking at 10? We all know the kid from nebraska will be long gone by then.

Teams all over the NFL start Rookie QBs.. and are going to playoffs with rookie QBs. No reason to believe that you couldn't start a rookie and win with a rookie. Not getting a quality player now, is only putting off the inevitable. They don't have to 'sit' for a year or two.

Suh and McCoy are both top 5 players at DT/DE. After that there is a big drop off. Inevitably though, there will be risers throughout the all-star games and combine. Dan Williams is one that might work his way up to top 10 at DT, and there are 2-3 possibilities at DT/DE.

I agree, and think that Shanahan takes him in Washington. He'd be a perfect fit for Mike.

Bradford played in a spread offense which would make him a great fit for US. At least I'm hoping.

to hell with Bradford. One big hit on that shoulder and he's finished.

no need to take a QB until we see what we got in Tom Brandstater.

I say we take McClain if he's available.

Love them both but no brainer, Bradford. McClain would give us a future stud locked in at LB, but franchise QB's are franchise QB's. I think most of us here don't mind Orton but with a stud like Braford there would be less complaining and probably more winning around Denver.

i'd be really happy with either, but as of right now i'd probably lean a little bit towards bradford simply because of the difference in positional value and difficulty of finding quality players at the respective positions. . . i'd say mcclain is the safer pick, but if they both realize their full potential you get more out of a stud quarterback than a stud linebacker, unless the guy is lawrence taylor or ray lewis. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

This is why i went with McClain. That and i don't expect Bradford to make it past Seattle.

I've got nothing against Bradford, though the shoulder is a concern of mine, his production and ability speaks for itself. He's a great QB and he's exactly the type of QB we need for this offense.
