I can play three chords too.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

    3 chords?

    MB... are you generalizing?

Not saying there is not alot of cheeezyness out there... Punk rock traditionally started as a form of garage style, no talent, just getting high and jammin out type of music..

Anyone can play cheezball music, the guys with real talent are the punk bands that are legends and that are still around today.....

NOFX and Bad Religion have been doing over 20 years... i can tell u now that 3 chord talent will not get u 2 decades and counting worth of music

Cool. I'll look for it once I shake this hangover off. If I can't find it I'll hit you up later. Thanks.

The Clash kills. Good call. Same with the Ramones, and yea, I don't think I've listened to a Sex Pistols album since high school.

No where near the musicians in other Genres, MB, your 3 chord comment definitely has merit, but not as far as NOFX is concerned. They broke the mold.

Meh, I was making fun of Hoe.

I think you can definitely group early grunge into punk music too...it just originated in a different place (Seattle) than "punk" (Washington D.C., New York and London)...

I mean, early Nirvana definitely has some punk origins, and the Pixies do too. Mudhoney definitely had some punk in them and Sonic Youth did as well, all early "grunge" bands.
