Tiger Woods Seriously Injured in Car Crash Early Friday Morning

Tiger Woods was seriously injured Friday morning in a car accident, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Woods pulled out of his driveway at about 2:25 a.m., struck a fire hydrant and drove into a tree on a neighbor's property. Woods, who was driving a 2009 black Escalade, was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition.

WESH 2 News reports that Woods has been treated for facial lacerations. According to WESH, the Florida Highway Patrol has determined that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Reports on the college football game I'm watching say that Wood's has been released from the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries (face lacerations). He was never in any kind of serious condition. Allegedly, he backed over a fire hydrant and then ran into a tree in his neighbors yard. Not trying to be mean, because he seems to be just fine, but that's kinda funny. I mean how do you back over a fire hydrant and then hit a tree? They also said alcohol was not a factor, but charges are pending? Hmmmm....something fishy here.

CNN) -- Golfer Tiger Woods was taken to a Florida hospital after suffering facial injuries in a car crash early Friday, police said.

The one-car accident occurred about 2:25 a.m. near his home in Windermere, a suburb of Orlando, according to an incident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

A statement from Woods' publicist and Health Central Hospital called the accident "minor" and said Woods was "admitted, treated and released today in good condition."

Woods, 33, had just pulled out of his driveway in his 2009 Cadillac SUV and had begun to drive down a street when he struck a fire hydrant, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The front of his vehicle then struck a tree.

Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn told CNN that local police arrived within two minutes of being notified. The golfer was taken to Health Central Hospital, where he was treated for facial lacerations and released, Bruhn said.

"I think it's nothing more than an accident," he said.

The crash is under investigation, and charges are pending, though it was not clear who could face charges. The accident did not appear to have been alcohol-related, the Florida Highway Patrol statement said.

Hahhahahaha! It must be the asian in him that caused that crash.

Or Ambien/sleeping medication, or a host of any other drugs, prescription or not. Any of those = driving while impaired.

Why do we have to assume it is drugs? Because he is black?
