I thought that was already a give, considering that he missed all of camp?

in a sideline interview he said he would be ready to go opening day. 100%. but this article debunks thats:

Asked Wednesday if he thought he'd be 100 percent ready by Sept. 9 when the Chiefs open at Houston, Johnson said, "No, it'll take a little bit more than that."

"Obviously, coaches are going to do a great job trying to get me on track to where week two or week three of the season I can hit my full stride," he said. "I'm going to try pick up as fast as I can."
any comment I add here is just speculation. may be one of those game time decesions.

Well, if he signed earlier and was able to participate in TC then maybe he would be ready.

I think Larry Johnson has a right to be upset at the Chiefs because they are going to cut his career short.

For the Chiefs to be bad then Larry Johnson needs to carry the ball 50 times a game. If he doesn't then the Chiefs are going to be terrible. (Ok over exaggeration on carries a game. )

What was LJ making compared to LT and the other top backs? If he was only making as much as a top 8 back, then he deserved so much more .....

Don't get me wrong...I think he did deserve the money. He was
scheduled to make 1.7 this year.

I am saying..since he held out and got what he wanted....then he
    better be ready.

I still think he is a chump and not for money reasons either!

I think he is a chump because he does not have 10% of the class that Priest Holmes had and showed when he as dominant for KC and was a better ALL AROUND back, meaning he can actually block, unlike Johnson who is one-dimensional. Priest in his heyday was like Marshall Faulk.

Is Priest active this year? I plead ignorance and not taking the time to find out as I am so busy at work etc

Exactly Med...you understand where I am coming from about LJ. Not sure what the
    story is behind Holmes return.

I miss him and wish he was healthy enough to play....if not as a starter
but even in a BU role.

While I don't normally support player holdouts, this is the kind of attitude that makes me understand LJ's position. Edwards will ride Johnson into the ground.
