Thread: Technical problem....

I have been getting kicked out of this site after opening up links here a couple different times. If I try to log in after I've been kicked out, it gives the screen where it says it is logging in and takes me to the front page but I'm not logged in. I can't log back in without closing out all the browsers and reopening a new one. This last time, I had a window open that I was actively navigating and one that was open to my PM box. I clicked on the link to the thread on the announcement on the top of the forum.

I thought I was just crazy but it's happened enough times that I think there may be something wrong (although, it's probably something wrong with me). Help.

What link did you click on that caused you trouble? Are you using Internet Explorer?

Cleared cache, cookies and offline content?

That's the first thing we'd tell folks in Customer Service

What browser (IE or Firefox) and what version (IE6, IE7) are you using? Do you keep the "keep me logged in" box checked, or whatever it is called?

I have seen this with other forums in the past, and typically it has to do with cookie security settings on your computer. This could either be due to changing security (which could occur with upgrading browsers, installing antivirus/security software) or your cookies could have gotten scrambled.

If you give me your browser details and if you have made any recent changes before this started happening, I will check the vBulletin support forums for what likely caused it.

It went here: http://www.broncosforums.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7047 but now I can't find where the heck I was (I still get lost around here if I'm not using the New Posts button or User CP). It's happened on different links though. Like maybe I can only have so many windows open at the same time before I get kicked out?

I'm using IE7. I haven't changed any settings recently, but this has happened since I joined (a whole, what, week ago?). I haven't run into this on the Freak.

I posted a question about this on vBulletin, but in the meantime, try logging in with checking "remember me" and see if the problem continues. I will let you know what vBulletin says.
