Does that mean you don't have anything to add about Shale Oil? Cause I was really looking forward to it.

I have some superficial thoughts if you are interested, but BigDaddy already hit the nail on the head.

I simply don't know the water requirements to separate the oil from the shale in asnwer to your previous question.

I'm sure if shale oil ever became an option, the environmentalists would go wacko due to the strip mining just like the oil sands in Canada, but in CO and WY they would go and protest. Something about northern Alberta in the winter keeps the wackos at home.

What about there being so much of it that we could basically tell the Middle East to go F themselves?

There may be some truth to that. Maybe a lot. The only problem is that oil prices have to be as high as they are now to really justify the investment to extract this oil. . .So, we probably have an ample supply, but it won't really help relieve us from current oil prices.

    What he said.
We would have to be in a pretty bad place (without some technological breakthrough) to make shale oil a viable alternative.

BDB, you are seriously jeopardizing your relationship with Cswil if you back me up on anything. For you own good, please stay away.

Oh no, his credibility is off the charts. He actually "knows" what he is talking about rather than rattling off economic staples memorized in college at Seward County.

At least I know what propaganda my company tells me.
Most of it makes sense. The only time I think I have really pissed of cswil was when he was bitching about gas prices and saying he couldn't afford Christmas presents. I told him he could get gas cards for Christmas presents. Frau didn't like that one either. I thought I was being funny like NTL.
