Mets will falter... too many old, old players.
Just remember September '07.

Different mentality. Different Team. Delgado is healthy...he wasn't in 07. Alou and Shawn Green are gone. In there places are Church and a couple of other youngsters. Castillo is as good as done. Easley ain't young, but some youth is getting infused there as well. The Mets are about to call up 19yo Fernando Martinez....STUD! They are not as old as you want them to be.
Glavine gone, Pedro never contributed, El Duque is as good as gone. Santana, Maine, Oliver and Pelfrey are far from old. Wagner is old, but still dominant. Ask the Phils.
Most important, the mindset has changed and the team is playing much more relaxed. They did flop last year, but it's far from a trend.
*bump*
tee hee
the only bright spot on yesterday's festivities. 2 years u eat raw fish for dinner... Im proud of my $22 million dollar payroll team.....
crybaby met fans
I love seeing the Mets choke.
BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE
What are you all talking about??? It's football season.
I found it weird that they decided to close Shea Stadium with the festivities after the game and not before.
Awkwaaaaard.
Still completely different. The TEAM did not choke. Unlike last year the hitters kept hitting and the D stayed solid. The bully was the problem from the door. It hurt when the closer went down, but he too had blown 7 on his own. The SPs played solid, the youth excelled, Delgado and Beltran got healthy and, again, the bully let the team down. This team was simply not talented enough in all areas to win the division. There was no "choking" this time around...simply an incomplete team.
