Sounds like my sons are gonna get a direct hit at Camp Lejeune from Hurricane Florence.
Rain... beautiful rain.

The media are such shitbags creating all the drama, over exaggeration, and panic. They want devastation to have a story.
If you're in the heartland, and farther south, check your furnaces. One of those infamous polar vortex's (or Polar Expresses) are heading south. We are supposed to be down to 24 Friday night. An early cold plunge, but I don't think it's going to last too long.
Are all my fellow northeasterners braced for the coming blizzard?
Sounds like we could get some ice and snow here, thankfully it's moved towards the northeasterners (I mean not thankfully like that, better if no one had to deal with it, but at least it won't be bad here)
They were originally talking about a foot of snow here. So far it hasn't even started raining yet, snow is supposed to start around 5pm and be very light.
All of you that are going to get the weather, stay safe and warm friends!
We're going to get a foot to a foot and a half from Saturday night through Sunday. I imagine the grocery stores will be a madhouse tomorrow.
That's a huge storm. My buddy, in Worchester, Ma, said they're gonna get 10-15 in of snow, plus some ice.
It is indeed going to be very nasty! It was supposed to hit us and then move on into the east, It ended up going above us. The original projected temp for tomorrow was -7. My wife was afraid she was going to have to go buy some electric heaters to keep us warm (I know, -7 probably is not that big a deal up in your neck of the woods, but our pathetic heater wouldn't have kept up with that and we would have had frozen pipes in several parts of the house)
I'm glad it's passing us by for the most part, hopefully those it is not passing by stay safe.
