Colorado public radio's lead story at 8am was the storm 2000 miles away. That is exactly the type of information I need out of my local radio station.

It's a good thing that Public Radio doesn't have to respond to ratings, and has the freedom to report what they think is important without worry about selling advertising, am I right?

I don't mind knowing the weather back East, or across the country, because usually if the weather is bad enough, it'll affect flight travel here.....like a trickle effect across the country.
