Wind chill is -6. Typical goddamn shitty South Dakota winter day. April can't come quick enough.

I figured being in South Dakota was reason enough to never live there, but that cold is even more brutal.
All bets are off with weather in South Dakota. Last September, they were releasing kids from school because temperatures were in the 100's. A couple weeks later we had 3 feet of snow on the ground. Before this craptacular cold weather we are getting now, we had great weather for all of October. Mother nature is pretty bi-polar here. Generally our winters are pretty cold, but not nearly as cold as North Dakota.

Pointers were the dogs my buddies had in NODAK. I used Labs to waterfowl hunt. Yes, I've seen spaniels, Labs, pointers, setters, goldens, used for hunting. Thing with the long haired dogs, is they get those burrs stuck in their hair and it's a PITA to get out.
While in NODAK, my dog got skunked twice and porcurpined once
