well massive storm again last night, golf ball size hail, tornadoes and heavy rains.
I am fine where I'm at but towns and parts of cities around us have been completely evacuated as the rivers are over flowing and have taken houses with them. A lot of roads have been closed or wiped out as well.

a relative got this pic of a pretty weird cloud formation though...

spoke too soon, the mountains have had enough and cant hold anymore water so the rivers have gone wild and the dams have to be opened... the entire south part of my province has declare a state of emergency. They are evacuating parts of my city and are closing the bridges across the river so I have to leave work early and go home. The pictures and videos people are posting on facebook are pretty crazy!

the river that flows through our city has risen 30 feet but it flows through a big area and is only affecting a limited amount of people and golf courses and things, so not too bad here. Calgary and the resort towns are getting hit hard, some of them completely wiped out.

What city do you live in?

That picture of the Bow River obliterating Trans Canada 1 is brutal.

Hot and dry as hell here in rural colorado. Nice if you like to fry bacon on the sidewalk.
Got up this morning and the air was filled with smoke from the forest fires

I'm in Lethbridge. Coincidentally, that video of the houses being destroyed and the Canada 1 being swallowed is near the resort town of Canmore, Canmore.

My friends dad lives in a town of 13000 that was completely evacuated, he had to be airlifted out of the downtown area because it rushed in so fast. The entire town was under water and is destroyed.

    That is such a shame.

Now you know where I got my screen name. I love the Canadian Rockies.

    Tornado producing storms.

Thankfully the tornadoes touched down where nobody lived.
