Well what is there to say...might be the only time on here I'm at a loss for words:
I have been a Broncos Fan since the age of 9..that would be since '74..don't you dare do the math!! I have never waviered or faltered in my Dedication as a FANATIC of the Denver Broncos! when I played pee wee football I got nicknamed "Baby Upchurch" because of my running style and I was even more indocrinated into the Bronco way! My Step dad was a fan as well and with him, from my Jr High days till I got too responsible and broke to do it anymore...we would got to home and away Broncos games a couple of times a year. I may be the only fan to survive 4 games in the Actual "Black Hole" section of the collessium in full Bronco Gear! I've seen every game from Morton to Orton either live or most often on TV and know my Bronco history and heritage
As far as Football background (So you know I know kinda what I am talking about lol) I played jr high pop warner and 4 years of High school..I switched to Corner my junior year because I like doing the hitting instead of the otherway around! My Junior year spring my family moved to Missoula, Montana from Utah, and I played at Big Sky H.S. my senior year and was an all state corner and held the 5A (Largest schools) H.S. int record from '83 till it was broken in 2003 at 13 with two to the house. (OK that was my Al Bundy moment)
I briefly attended the University of Montana (Go Grizzlies) and played 10 or 11 games 9 as a starter at corner. After that season I was offered a chance to wak on at BYU in '84... (My sister was dating the son of the DC at BYU, Ken Schmidt... YES it was nepatism...lol) and had to redshirt...happened to be the year they won the National Title.
I was around and exposed to some of the great coaches and players of my time...guys like Steve Young..maybe you heard of him...the greatest coaching mind of all time college or pro LaVell Edwards.. (Fact: Bill Walsh stole the west coast offense from Edwards) who invented the West coast and the spread offense, Holmgren hadn't left for the 49'ers, Reid and Billick, and Norm Chow were Graduate assistant coached there and Norm Chow was the Offensive Coordinator. I suffered a knee injury week 1 the '85 season and that ended my college career. With the exception of playing for some Very Very Semi-Pro indoor football teams here in Utah I gave up on playing the game with the exception a pick up game or a flag football league or too! Cut me some slack I'm old!
Since my brother-in-laws dad Ken Schmidt was the Defensive Coordinator for freaking twenty years I've had a chance to hang around those guys and more..soaking up high quality football insight........and sometimes I will come off as a "Know it all" ..lol...get used to it cause I am!
If I am trying to hurt a persons feelings you will know it! If I am sounding smartass or sarcastic or just down right aggravated with anybody on here..ignore me I will get over it! You should do the same!
Having said that I'm just here to stir stuff up and have a good time, talk a little smack, post an opinion or two some of which might piss fans off! Again get over it! and in Closing..........
GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!
