Thread: What is the largest NFL Point Spead in History (non expansion)?

Default What is the largest NFL Point Spead in History (non expansion)?

In light of NE being favored by 24.5 over the J E T S and
Eric the Rat on Sunday what was the highest Point spread since 1980 in a
for a team vs a non-expansion team and who were the two teams
    (not including this game)?

Hint it was not Tampa vs Pitt in 1976, the question
is for non-expansion teams. That game Pitt was
favored by 26 and won 42-0 at Three Rivers
    vs the Tampa Bay Yuks
    as John McCay would say
we were bad in all phases of the game, we could
not run, we could not pass, we could not play
defense, we could not kick etc (I wish I could find the
    sound bite, it is hilarous)

Wasn't it SF over Cincy by 24 in the early 90's?

I knew that you would get the answer WTE

SF was minus 23 in 1993 over Cincy
    and did not cover.

maybe some bad weather like in NE on Sunday, which might make covering a lot harder than if there was a good day..

Sports bettor RJ Bell, who runs a betting Web site, said his research shows that the biggest point spread since 1980 came in 1993 when San Francisco was a 23-point favorite over Cincinnati, a game the 49ers won just 21-8. During that time, there have been only five games with a point spread of more than 20 points

The Bengals were expansion in 1970 I think
the spread in question was in 1993 when

the 49ers were minus 24 over the Bengals.

    that was a L O N G time ago

    thaks buddy

I needed a change with all the bad things going on.
I was hoping Lima time can help ease the transition
and get me some more wins on Meds flamable picks
