The NFL should collectively draft more punters!
After looking back on it and reflecting I'm fine with it. We got better. We drafted at the posotions I wanted aside from a 1st rd CB, just not necessarily the names I wanted. After looking into the guys we did draft they all seem like excellent football players it just seemed like they were all picked a round or 2 higher than most people think they'd be taken, but then again we have no idea what NFL front offices think.
I'm excited about the RB. He could be a serious homerun threat and apparently SP loves him. Sorta reminiscent of the Bo pick in that people were saying we drafted the 6th best QB but to SP he was 2 or 3. It seems that's the case with Harvey as well. This time I was initially on the side of the 7th best RB crowd but I have to remember that it's SPs take that matters. If SP thinks this kid is the 2nd best RB in the draft I'll trust him.
Now, of Hampton runs for 150yds and the Dolts bend us over a table I'll be grumpy again.

This is exactly why I need to remember not to trust the dopes who get paid to pontificate about the draft, this is in NFL.com's prospect profile for RJ Harvey
"Harvey lacks creativity and burst"
It seems to me those are two of his strengths, no?
The more i look into the dudes we got I'm stoked to welcome them to Bronco country. I'm the grumpy old man who points a shotgun at the door to door salesman and ends up with a houseful of encyclopedias. I'm turning into both of the old dudes from Second Hand Lions(a great great great movie BTW) at once.
I even love the CB, that kid is ******* cool, I would have drafted him on personality alone, but if we draft a CB in the first 3 rounds next year Imma flip the **** out.![]()

It was an underwhelming draft IMO but we have had worse under GP. Time to wait and see what happens.
This is a cool video. We definitely have a type of individual we draft. Team captains, heady types and Que seems to fit that mold to a tee. Nick Saban said he's the best special teams player he ever coached. I think that speaks to a certain kind of mentality and it's one I like. Taking a shot on a guy with that kind of mentality combined with freaky "traits" (word of the week I guess) in the 4th round it's hard to be mad at it. If nothing else he can replace Smith as our STs ace with the upside of rotating into the defense eventually.
