Can't believe it's draft day already. This may be the first draft I'm pretty open to a number of prospects in the 1st rd. I dont have that 1 player that im dead set on seeing selected. Though I would rather see us select a RB early, 1st or 2nd round, than later.

CB and RB are top priorities in the NFL Draft.

I am not sold on Starting CB Riley Moss. However, he could be a good backup CB.

Agreed. We need another corner to pair with Surtain.

Too many stud TEs not to get one of em. Plenty of RBs. We can wait. Plus talent wasn't always the issue. SP doesn't always commit. Interior OL, DL, ILB and another CB. Get those and I'm happy.

I would love to see four QBs go tonight. But I'd be happy with at least three.

I think drafting a RB in the first round would be a mistake.

He's a white cornerback. I am cheering for him because that is extremely rare. Even more rare than a black punter.

Why? It's a position of need. Payton can get a pretty good one in the 1st round. There are some good RBs projected outside the 1st round. Is there a RB you like?

Its not a make or break deal for me personally if we don't go RB in the 1st round. If the draft room has their sights set on someone and they can get him in the 3rd or later, that's all the better.

I think it's more the amount of legitimate names available. Boise, 2 OSU, UNC, Iowa, ASU, Tennessee and a few more. All have potential to be studs

I'd be totally happy with Hampton or Henderson tonight, but there are impact backs taken in the mid and even later rounds every year. And this class is supposed to be deep. I would be fine with a guy like DJ Giddens or Bayshul Tuten a little later. The two guys I'd absolutely love to see tonight are Tet McMillan (probably have to trade up a bit, he's the one guy I'd do it for who may realistically fall into our range) and Derrick Harmon. Which means there's no chance of us taking either of them, the Donkeys rarely ever take guys I want. I'm still in freaking shock from free agency going almost dude for dude the way I would have done it, that's literally never happened before. A draft that I like would probably just be too much of a good thing. I just hope they don't trade up for somebody other than TMac, unless warren falls. I'd much, much rather trade back from #20, or just sit pat and take a lineman. Ersary, Booker, Kenneth Grant, Nolan. Totally cool with any of them there. A corner wouldn't be a super exciting pick, but you can always use another good corner. I like Az Thomas, but any of Barron, Revel or Hairston would be acceptable picks. Let's get this thang rollin'!
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Agree completely. I'm going into this draft totally open to a number of players. I may have my preferences but I'm not dead set on them. This is a pretty good draft for positions we need help. So I'm just going to trust the process. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah. I'm still assuming they'll probably manage to hit the one or two scenarios that would piss me off , but I'm more open-minded going into this one than I normally am.
