The risk is exactly what you said: Getting booed in the stadium is bad optics. I never expected her to get booed at all, given her popularity, and Super Bowl LIX proved me wrong. It wasn't just Eagles fans either, there is a whole section of football fans who joined in. The fans aren't necessarily booing her either, they are booing the whole circus and atmosphere around showing her as a spectator in the stands. The NFL's broadcast partners contributed to the culture where is in-style to boo Taylor Swift. Being booed in the stadium won't be something the NFL can ignore.

Beyonce should be the #1 choice. Behind her, Ariana Grande (who I somehow forgot about), Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, or Bruno Mars would all be popular choices who do not carry that risk. Honestly, SZA is tearing it up enough to warrant selection on her own, but usually the NFL waits longer on someone's career before choosing them. Nicki Minaj or Cardi B would make more sense if they were going to go her direction, but both have faded more than the NFL would like.

Money talks and biases walk, she’s the biggest entertainer on the planet, huge following and even bigger media darling. The sheer amount of Swifties alone outnumber your biases 10 to 1, and that doesn’t count people like me, I’ve heard exactly one song of hers. Then there’s the millions upon millions of people who have no idea that your problem with Swift even exists.

This is about money, and when it comes to money the people that count don’t care and the people that care don’t count, full stop.

The casual fan that tunes into the SB could not care less that she’s dating someone playing in the game, and I think the people that are sick of seeing her in the crowd is galactically overstated, they’re the vocal minority. This is simply Jessica Simpson all over again.
