The Broncos basically haven’t had a speed RB since Portis, I wouldn’t put Chris Evans in that category. Like Davii says he’s got a burst, to go with 4.45 speed.
McLaughlin does nothing for me, there’s no there there.

According to their personnel the Broncos should be a tough running team, and they were very physical in SP’s first year.
Maybe they just put all their practice time into getting a rookie QB to play above and beyond his experience level, mission accomplished. Time to emphasize the run game now.

The more I look at the other top-rated backs in the draft, the more I am convinced that Trayveon Henderson is the best fit here, assuming we can't get Jeanty. Dudes like Hampton, Judkins and Johnson just don't project to be productive enough in the passing game to be worth a high pick for Payton's scheme, IMO. Plus every profile or scouting report I've read calls Henderson the best pass protecting RB in the class.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Bo Nix needs in having on someone to take the pressure off him over in a RB. If he has that, it would make Denver even much more better!
Ready for May Day & Flowers, Memorial and Mother's Day!

Complete waste of a draft pick, right up there with the dime-a-dozen TE’s everyone is dying for (if it’s not Tyler Warren it’s a waste of a draft pick).

I don’t watch the Boise St’s of the world so I won’t pretend to know anything about Jeanty but I’d probably take Hampton RB1.

I see Henderson is visiting Denver today. Me likey.
So, we going to get one of these guys??
https://www.9news.com/article/sports...6-a580e24b09e6Here’s a closer look at the five running backs the Broncos brought in for an in-house visit:
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State, 5-10, 202
Widely considered the No. 3 back in the draft behind Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton, Henderson visited the Broncos on the last possible visit day Wednesday.
He rushed for 1,248 yards on 6.8 yards per carry and 15 touchdowns as a freshman, plus had 27 catches for 312 yards receiving.
He had a couple of injuries (foot, ribs) that limited him to eight games as a sophomore and 10 as a junior but bounced back with another 1,016 yards rushing on 7.1 yards per carry and another 27 receptions last season as a senior captain to help lead the Buckeyes to the national championship.
He has the type of three-down, run-pass versatility who would fit Sean Payton's offensive system. He ran the 40 at the Combine in 4.43 seconds.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State, 6-0, 219
He rushed for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns as a freshman at Ole Miss, then 1,060 yards and 14 TDs last year at Ohio State, where he split time with *Henderson. Ran his 40 in 4.48 at the Combine.
Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa, 6-0, 225
A bigger back and potential high-round draft pick, Johnson rushed for 1,527 yards and 21 touchdowns last year, plus had 22 catches for an 8.8-yard average. A one-cut, zone-type back. Has a chance to go late in the first round, but second round is more likely. He ran his 40 in 4.57 seconds at the Combine.
DJ Giddens, RB, Kansas State, 6-1, 200
He averaged 1,285 yards rushing and 25 catches for an 11.6-yard average the past two seasons at K-State. He ran his Combine 40 in an impressive 4.43, tying him with Henderson. Would be a Day 2 pick.
Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas, 5-9, 196
He broke out last season with 734 yards rushing and 42 catches with a combined 14 touchdowns rushing and receiving. He ran a 4.38, 40 at the Combine (second among running backs to the 4.32 of Virginia Tech’s Bhayshul Tuten) and 4.25 at his Pro Day. Would be a mid- to late-round draft pick.
