Jaded's listening to Creed right now.
So that's where that foul odor is coming from! Broncos had the chance to get out from under that contract. Bolles is a white man's Laremy Tunsil. The PFFs think Tunsil is all that. Just disregard his 17 penalties already this season. Bolles just has 14. If Bolles false-started a few more times, maybe PFF would rank him higher.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
Probably a good move for the young QB. Bolles is upgradeable but I have come around on him. There's something endearing about his big lunk ultimate protector dude persona. He drives me effing nuts. But I also don't know that there's a dude on planet earth that loves the Denver Broncos more than Garrett Bolles. It's funny because that dude bleeds orange and blue and has never really felt a ton of love from fans. He has stated numerous times his desire to be a bronco for life and the big dumb lug has worn me down into liking him. Maybe it's because I haven't been watching Hoof says he has 14 penalties, that's seems bad but at this point that's who he is.
I think in the end as much as he frustrates me he deserves to retire a Bronco and I don't see a way to for sure upgrade over him for anything other than moving up in the draft or forking over more than the hometown discount he just gave us for a FA who let's face it if a team is letting a LT walk he probably isn't an upgrade over Bolles. It's the best choice for a team with a developing QB.
Let's Rid3!!!!
Can't way until he makes it to the ring of fame.
The penalties don't matter too much. That stud LT in Houston gets tons of them. Bakhteria in GB, when he was awesome, also had a ton of them. The Chiefs have won SBs with OTs that are penalized a lot. He's credited with giving up one sack this season. That's what matters. Again, Tunsil, like Bolles, keep the QB clean.
The last time Denver let a proven OT go and replaced them with a highly touted rookie was Okung. Okung stunk in Denver and then became a beast again upon his departure. Bolles was his replacement.
Mahomes can complete passes out of his left butt cheek so I don't think KC's stats are an accurate reflection of the quality of their offensive line.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
Bolles is fine. Yeah he holds some but he’s a mid-tier guy who someone like the Queefs would sign in a heartbeat. The contract is a good one because we can release him after 2 years if he declines. He’s not getting paid like the #1 OT in the league. Oline consistency is great for Nix’s development.

Jaded, are you ok? The 9-5 record with talk of Bo Nix being a top 2 candidate for ROY probably has your wife hiding all the sharp blades in the house.
Who doesn’t love skinny Roethlisberger?
Complete waste of time and cap space.
I have no problem with being the boogeyman in your fairytale.

Draft
1st round— Walter Nolan DE
2nd round— Shavon Revel CB (1st round prospect before knee injury)
3rd round— Donavon Jackson LT
4th round— LT Overton DE
5th round— Shemar Turner DE
6th round— DJ Uieglelei QB
7th round—
Realistically, what were the other options? Could have drafted one in rounds 1 or 2, but Bolles is a top 10 LT and it is unlikely a draft pick would be an upgrade (the league is short linemen right now). The defense is over-achieving. Offensively, the only true talent guys are Meinerz and Mims with every other player being replaceable. It's better to not have holes at QB or LT going into the draft because those are "must-fill" positions always.
Need an interior lineman since DJ Jones is making $9 million (and plays less than 40% of snaps). Market options aren't as good this year.
Need ILBs who aren't special teamers.
Every position except PS2 and Meinerz can be upgraded, Bonitto and Cooper are "safe" but adding a 3rd makes sense.
Keeping Bolles was smart with this in mind.
$42 million in cap to go spend. Godwin? Higgins? Conkin? Kinlaw? Where do you spend it? FAs are expensive and require McGlinchey overpayment contracts.
