VJ has been getting it done with Zach Allen, JFM, PS2 and 8 backup pieces on field at all times. That should be seen as a good development for this season.
With a low-ceiling QB and a HoF play-caller the Broncos just need to build around a great defense, go hard and heavy on defense (and OL) moving forward. The playoffs tend level the playing field (even vs witches like Lamar and Mahomie), the Broncos need to build a playoff defense. They just don’t have that level of talent.

Cut bait on Sutton and the Lion FA, the time to invest in shiny toys is after you’ve built a core. WR is annually one of the deepest positions in the draft and Payton forgot how to incorporate TE’s (or maybe the QB just can’t consistently throw the seem like he did last week to #82).
