The question I have is, why? Has he not done enough to prove he can play QB? He holds records in passing and starts in the NCAA. This is one of those things that keeps me scratching my head about the process. Is it just because he can’t throw a ball 95 yds in the air, across his body, while falling down, left handed? It makes no sense. Dude threw 45 TDs to 3 INTs playing the same schedule as Caleb Williams and Michael Penix last year in Division 1 college football. This isn’t some fluke. Somehow a guy like McCarthy who was in a run-first offense and never had to carry his team or even lead a comeback on his way to the NC, gets ranked higher. It makes no sense to me.

I can’t wait for Nix to end up as the best QB in this class. Is he accurate? Yep. Good decision maker? Yep. Not take unnecessary sacks? Yep. Not throw a lot of picks? Yep. Not fumble? Yep. Have the arm to make any throw? Yep. Have scrambling ability? Yep. Read a defense and get rid of the ball quicker than his peers? Yep. What am I missing?

Will from That's Good Podcast made a great point, if you turn the weaknesses from the other top 6 QBs into strengths you get Bo Nix.
Caleb Williams-Plays out of structure too much.
Jayden Daniels- Slight frame/durability a ? In NFL, scrambles and looks to run instead of throwing
Maye- accuracy issues, throwing motion questions, looping longer motion
    JJ-lack of experience
Penix - injury concerns, struggles when pressured, short and intermediate accuracy concerns.

All of those are strengths of Bo's.

I am getting so sick of hearing the 6th QB taken nonsense. Allen was the 3rd QB taken. Dak was like the 5th or 6th. Lamar was something like the 4th one taken. Mahomes was the second one taken. Marino was the 6th. Montana? Who knows but I do know he was taken in the 4th round. Brady was the 7th IIRC.
None of that shit truly matters. All that matters is whether it works or not and how quickly and decisively the organization is at recognizing the long term viability of the pick and moving on or going forward. In the modern day NFL you are only as good as your QB. What I really like about Bo for the current Broncos is I see him as a very high floor type, I just can't envision him being a complete flop. To me at worst he's and Alex Smith type who can steer the ship as we improve this roster and implement SP's real system, not the dumbed down bastardized version we saw Russ struggle to run. If that's the worst outcome I am fine with that. We let him steer the ship for a couple of years, get middle of the pack-ish production then pounce on the first blue chipper via trade or whatever in the draft that comes along. That is the worst case scenario to me. The best case is we found the perfect guy for Sean's system and we get to see something special. I know this much for sure, going into the season thinking Bo is just terrible and has no chance is dumb.

He should’ve been the 4th QB . . . so the Broncos could have a real NFL QB talent instead. No “fits the system” qualifiers.

Good. Anytime some manages to cram a good idea into that brain of yours it's a good thing.
